Moving the (Irritating) formula hint bar
While we start entering the formula, excel tries to help us by displaying the formula hint window as shown below. Sometime this may block viewing some of the cells which may be required to refer for completing the formula.
But this hint bar can be moved to a different place which most of the users not aware of. Just mouse over this hint window until the cursor shape changes something like cross with triangle shaped edges, click and drag to the location which is convenient to you to continue editing the formula.
Once it is moved you can continue editing the formula and when you are out of that formula, hint bar also disappears as usual. Other way to counter this problem is typing the formula directly in the formula bar instead of typing in the cell, which some users doesn’t prefer.
